Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of Türkiye, Archil Kalandia, paid a working visit to Samsun

On 2 March 2026, Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of Türkiye, Archil Kalandia, paid a working visit to Samsun.

Within the framework of the visit, meetings were held with Governor of Samsun, Orhan Tavlı, and Mayor of the city, Halit Doğan.

During the meetings, the parties discussed current issues of cooperation between Georgia and Türkiye in the fields of economy, trade, healthcare, and tourism.

Particular attention was paid to the importance of developing direct contacts between business representatives of Samsun and Georgia.

It was noted that Samsun is one of Türkiye’s major industrial and manufacturing cities and holds a leading position in the country’s economic development.

In addition, as part of the visit, the Ambassador met with the leadership and members of the “Samsun Georgian Cultural Association” and the “Çarşamba Georgian Cultural Center.”

During the meeting, Archil Kalandia listened to the needs of the diaspora representatives and expressed his gratitude for their contribution to promoting Georgian culture in Türkiye.

The meeting was also attended by Consul General of Georgia in Trabzon, Nikoloz Iashvili.
