Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of Türkiye, Archil Kalandia, held meetings with Governor of Trabzon, Tahir Şahin

On 5 March 2026, as part of his visit to Trabzon, Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of Türkiye, Archil Kalandia, held meetings with Governor of Trabzon, Tahir Şahin, and Mayor of the city, Ahmet Metin Genç.

During the discussions, the sides reviewed key areas of cooperation between Georgia and Türkiye, with a focus on trade and economic ties, tourism, healthcare, and cultural exchange. The importance of further strengthening direct contacts between the business communities of the two countries was particularly emphasized.

Within the framework of the visit, the Ambassador also met with representatives of the “Trabzon Georgian Cultural Association.” The meeting underscored the significance of close coordination between the Embassy of Georgia and diaspora organizations.

The meetings were attended by Consul General of Georgia in Trabzon, Nikoloz Iashvili, as well as Chairman of the Türkiye-Georgia Business Council, Osman Çalışkan Mzhavanadze.
