On 11 June 2026, Ambassador of Georgia to the Republic of Türkiye, Archil Kalandia met with Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye, Fuat Oktay.

The parties discussed the agenda of the strategic partnership between Georgia and the Republic of Türkiye, as well as prospects for its further development. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of strengthening interparliamentary cooperation between the two countries, including the role of the annual trilateral format of the Foreign Affairs Committees of Georgia, Türkiye, and Azerbaijan in promoting regional cooperation.

The sides also exchanged views on recent regional developments and reaffirmed the importance of cooperation, dialogue, and partnership in strengthening peace, stability, and security in the South Caucasus and the wider region.
